R & D
As a research-based medical technology company, Digitineers places a major focus on the research and development of its medical devices – from basic research to randomized controlled trials.
Clinical Research Department
Efficacy scientifically proven
The task of the Medical-Scientific Department is clinical DTx development: extensive clinical research and development up to randomized controlled trials (RCT) to prove the clinical efficacy and safety of our medical devices. Experienced physicians ensure that the efficacy and safety of Digitineers® digital products are scientifically substantiated. Only DTx products whose efficacy has been demonstrated by RCT and which have the lowest possible side effects reach the market – marketed products are subject to constant monitoring and scientific control.
Fundamental work on DTx content and architecture
In our innovation development process, our experts for medical domains, medical data domains and medical software architectures carry out extensive basic and preclinical research and development. In the field of artificial intelligence, the particular challenge is to ensure error minimization in learning AI – a considerable methodological demand on development and testing processes.
Software & AI Architecture Department
Our medical devices consist of software. For their development we use algorithms of artificial intelligence (AI). In the Digital Innovation Lab, experts for medical domains, medical data domains and medical software architectures work together with external software and AI engineers at the cutting edge of the development of innovative digital therapeutics. Our architects develop a digital functional model that fundamentally maps all medical functions and shows the engineers the terminal development path.
The background of the Digitineers® innovation team is excellence in science: coming from medicine and the neurosciences, the development experience of team members extends to the successful co-development of electronic neuro-implants including CE certification. Digitineers combines product architecture and design with medical user knowledge in the context of digital thinking – with the philosophy of developing products that help patients and preserve humanity. Digitineers® can be disruptive: more than 70 patents held by team members speak for themselves.
Information security and data protection: alongside patient benefit, Digitineers puts information security at the centre and implements the necessary technical and organizational measures at least at the state of the art – for the security of customer data and of the information system of medical devices in laypersons’ hands.
