Press Release · 1 July 2026
Digital therapy against chronic vertigo shows strong effect: A novel digital therapy is attracting attention in the treatment of chronic vertigo. Researchers led by Prof. Dr. Markus Wirth of the university hospitals of Aachen, Munich and Tübingen report statistically convincing results of the digital health application Vertidisan® (VH90D) in Deutsches Ärzteblatt.
According to the published data, 88% of the treated patients benefit – particularly those with chronic vertigo. Vertidisan® thus positions itself as the most effective therapy option for chronic vertigo. The results come from the randomized, group-controlled GEVE-I trial.
Vertidisan® was developed by Digitineers as an antivertiginous digital therapeutic. It is the first and so far only EU-approved digital medical device with clinical evidence of such high efficacy for targeted vertigo therapy – even drugs do not reach this level of efficacy.
At the centre of the application is a sensorimotor training programme lasting 90 days. The VH90D-300 exercise programme is individually adapted to the respective vertigo diagnosis and is designed to specifically promote central vertigo compensation. Repeated sensorimotor stimuli trigger neuroplastic adaptation processes in the brain – an approach that classic drug therapies cannot achieve.
